Rolling Hills at Stonehenge
A verdant abstract landscape inspired by driving through the rolling hills near Stonehenge in Wiltshire on my drive back to Cornwall in the far south west of England.
There’s a quiet strength to this small painting on wood. Rich cornfield yellow, Nature’s lush greens and potent blues seem infused with the energetic vibrancy of this powerful sacred land.
The surface texture is smooth yet nuanced with accidental swirls of pooled paint deliberately left to create interest, and drips which run diagonally downhill, hinting at ploughed fields ripe with seedlings ready for Spring.

Maybe you’ll see a quiet strength to this small painting on birchwood? Maybe you’ll recognise the rich cornfield yellows and Nature’s lush greens infused with the energetic vibrancy of this powerful sacred land.
